The Public Prosecution Service of Canada (PPSC) says in a statement that a 17 year old Manitoba teen has pleaded guilty to the charge of terrorism.
The teen admitted in court that he had ” counselled the commission of an indictable offence at the direction of, or in association with, a terrorist group.”
According to PPSC the youth was 16 at the time of the offence and therefore cannot be named.
The specific details of the offence of how the youth came to be charged have not been provided.
Sentencing is set for a future date.
