A pair of RCMP officers acted quickly and saved a mom and her kids from what could have been a serious tragedy.
Early Sunday morning, around 3:30am, Dauphin RCMP we sent to the scene of a shed fire behind a commercial building. When the two officers arrived the found that the fire was quickly spreading to a home on the adjacent property.
Not knowing if anyone was inside the home the pair immediately started banging on windows and doors. When they didn’t get a response the two officers entered the home. They found a mother and her children sleeping. The woke the family and evacuated them to safety without injury.
Fire crews arrived and put the fire out.
The cause of the fire has been determined as arson by the Office of the Fire Commissioner. The investigation continues.
