A stabbing incident that occurred in the early morning hours on St. James Street on April 14, 2024, led to an arrest as the Major Crimes Unit continued its investigation.
The incident took place in the 1000 block of St. James Street. Investigators identified the suspect as 31-year-old Matthew Dixon Harland of Winnipeg. At approximately 2:00 a.m. on the same date, officers located Harland at his residence.
Harland was placed under arrest without incident. He has been charged with Aggravated Assault and Possession of a Weapon. Following the arrest, Harland was detained in custody.
The Major Crimes Unit is continuing its investigation into the incident.
