At least three people were taken to hospital with serious injuries after a major crash in the eastbound lanes of the Perimeter Highway just west of St. Anne’s Road on Friday afternoon.
The collision involved a local garden centre dump truck loaded with gravel and several other vehicles.
STARS Air Ambulance was called to the scene shortly after the collision.
The cause of the collision is being investigated by RCMP.
Police closed off the eastbound lanes of the highway at St. Mary’s Road and diverted traffic onto a gravel service road just west of the highway. Traffic was backed up for several hours.
