Winnipeg Fire Paramedic Service responded to a vehicle on Pembina Highway in St. Norbert on Sunday evening, February 20, 2022.

The call came in at 5:18 pm. A flatbed semi truck was on fire in the northbound lane of Pembina Highway between Rue de Trappistes and Ducharme Avenue.
Tires on the semi exploded as bystanders tossed snow on to the burning truck. The driver was able to separate the tractor from the trailer.
Firefighters poured water on the fire as thick black smoke billowed from under the trailer.
There is no word on what caused the fire.
