Parking bans announced to facilitate snow clearing

The City of Winnipeg announced that beginning at 12:00 am Monday, February 21, 2022 an extended snow route parking ban will come into force. The extended ban means that there is no parking on snow routes between midnight and 7:00 am daily.

Vehicles parked in violation of the extended snow route parking ban could receive a $100 ticket and may be towed which will incur additional fees.

The extended parking ban will remain in place until snow clearing is complete. The city says a notice will be released to the public when the extended snow route parking ban is lifted.

Beginning on Wednesday, February 23, the city will begin a residential street snow clearing operation. The residential parking ban will begin at 7:00 am and continue until Friday.

Vehicles in violation of the Residential Parking Ban may receive a $200 ticket and be towed to a nearby street.
