Several streets will be temporarily closed this weekend for construction and film production according to the City of Winnipeg.
Colony Street
Northbound Colony Street from Portage Avenue to Webb Place will be closed to traffic from 6:00 pm on Friday, August 6 until 5:00 pm on Sunday, August 8 for building construction.
Pedestrian traffic will also be restricted on the east side of Colony during the closure.
Century Street
The off-ramp from southbound Century Street (Route 90) to southbound Queen Street will be closed for construction on Saturday August 7 at 5;00 am and re-open on Sunday, August 8 at 11:00 pm.
Provencher Boulevard
Provencher Boulevard will be closed intermittently throughout the weekend to accommodate the production of a film.
The expected closures are as follows:
- Eastbound Provencher Boulevard, at the St. Joseph intersection, will be closed on an intermittent basis on Friday, August 6 from 6 p.m. until midnight.
- The eastbound curb lane and middle lane on Provencher Boulevard, from St. Joseph Street to Langevin Street, will be closed on Saturday, August 7 at 6 a.m. until Sunday, August 8 at 6 p.m.
- The westbound curb lane on Provencher Boulevard, from St. Joseph Street to Langevin Street, will be closed on Saturday, August 7 at 6 a.m. until Sunday, August 8 at 6 p.m.
- There will be intermittent and staggered sidewalk closures on Provencher Boulevard throughout the weekend, with alternating sidewalk closures on the north sidewalk west of Rue Aulneau, and on the south sidewalk east of Rue Aulneau.
