The City of Winnipeg has announced the opening dates for its summer water facilities, including spray pads, outdoor pools, and wading pools.
Starting from Saturday, May 18, most spray pads will be operational from 9:30 a.m. to 8:30 p.m., seven days a week until September 2. Residents are encouraged to check the City of Winnipeg – Spray Pads website or contact 311 for a full list of locations and their opening status.
As for outdoor pools, heated ones are set to open on Friday, June 21, with the exception of Fort Garry Lions. Unheated pools, along with Fort Garry Lions, are expected to open a week later on Friday, June 28. All outdoor pools will operate seven days a week, weather permitting. Lastly, the City’s wading pools are anticipated to begin opening on a staggered basis starting from Monday, July 1. Operating hours will vary by location. Locations and hours will be available at the City of Winnipeg – Wading Pools website or by contacting 311.
