Traffic stop leads to charges for Winnipeg man

A 43-year-old man is facing drug trafficking and property offences after he was arrested during a traffic stop on Wednesday, November 2, 2022, in the first 100 block of Robson Street.

Police say that members of the Guns and Gangs Unit saw the male who was wanted driving a vehicle in the area and initiated a traffic stop. During the traffic stop officers searched the vehicle and found:

  • Approximately 133 grams of Methamphetamine (Estimated Street Value = $6,650.00)
  • Digital Scales
  • Packaging Materials
  • Cell phone
  • Old Bank Notes (theft reported in November 2021)
  • Approximately $590.00 in currency

Kirk Elliot Diamond was charged for his alleged involvement with:

  • Possession of a Scheduled Substance for the Purpose of Trafficking – Methamphetamine
  • Possession of Proceeds of Property Obtained by Crime Under $5,000.00
  • Fail to Comply with Condition of Undertaking x 3
  • Possession of Property Obtained by Crime Over $5,000.00 (previously reported)
  • Warrant x 4

He was detained in custody
