RCMP are searching for a group of suspects after a 46-year-old male was attacked in Nisichawayasihk Cree Nation on Wednesday, April 20, 2022.
According to investigators the incident took place just before 11:15 pm on Otetiskiwin Drive. They say the victim was approached by a group of about 10 people, both male and female, who tried to rob him. When the victim refused to hand over his belongings he was stabbed and sprayed with bear spray.
A passerby found the victim, called police and took the male to the local nursing station. The victim was transferred to a Winnipeg hospital and is now in stable condition.
