Manslaughter charges being faced by woman who stabbed 42-year-old man

As News 4 told you last week police arrested a 31-year-old female after she allegedly stabbed a 42-year-old male in the upper body.

It happened just after 2:00 pm on November 1, 2017, around Martha Street and Henry Avenue

Harriet Jane Pascal was arrested at the scene and was charged with Aggravated Assault, Possess Weapon and three counts of Fail to Comply with Probation Order.

On November 8, 2017, the victim, identified as 42-year-old Richard Irvine Gilbert Chartrand from Winnipeg died of his injuries from the stabbing.

Pascal was rearrested on Thursday, November 9 at Headingley Correction Centre and charged with manslaughter.

She remains behind bars.
