Winnipeg Police have arrested two suspects in connection to July 25, 2020, shooting on Ellice Avenue.
Police were called to the area of Ellice Avenue and Maryland Street around 8:00 am and found a male in his 50s suffering from a gunshot wound.
Minutes later officers arrested a 28-year-old male suspect who was in a taxi stopped in a parking lot at Maryland Street and Sargent Avenue.
Leslie James Linklater was charged for his alleged involvement with Aggravated Assault, Discharge Firearm with Intent, Pointing Firearm, Possess Firearm Knowing its Possession is Unauthorized, Possess Firearm Contrary to Prohibition Order and two counts of Fail to Comply with Conditions of Release Order.

The investigation continued and on Tuesday, July 28, 2020, officers arrested a second suspect.
Kolble Richard Stumpf, age 35, was charged for his alleged involvement with Aggravated Assault, Discharge Firearm with Intent, Pointing Firearm and Unauthorized Possession of a Prohibited or Restricted Weapon.
Both men were detained in custody.
