Three teens facing charges after convenience store robbery

Three male teens were arrested and charged after they allegedly stole food and beverages from a Marion Street convenience store.

Police say the youth aged 17, 16 and 15 went into the store just before midnight on Monday, June 15, 2020, grabbed the items then fled. While leaving the store one of the youth discharged a can of bear spray at an employee.

A police service dog was called in and was able to lead officers to a nearby hotel where the suspects were located. Officers located the can of bear spray along with the item that had been stolen.

All three youth are facing robbery and weapons charges in connection to the incident. They were released on an undertaking.
