Oakbank RCMP are looking for the driver of a brown minivan after it hit a woman who had collapsed on the Trans-Canada Highway.
Police say that around 12:50 am on June 5, 2020, a 25-year-old female was eastbound on Highway 1, just west of Deacon’s Corner when she experienced a medical emergency.
The female stopped her vehicle on the highway, got out and collapsed. A minivan the hit her, drove a short distance, pulled over for a few moments then left the scene and headed north on Highway 207.
The female victim was taken to hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
Police are asking anyone with information about the driver of the minivan to contact RCMP at 204-444-3847.
