One new case of COVID-19 identified on Tuesday

One new case of COVID-19 has been identified in Manitoba on Tuesday, May 12, 2020. The total number of lab-confirmed and probable cases is now 290.

Four people are currently being treated in hospital for the virus with one patient in intensive care.

The number of deaths related to COVID-19 in Manitoba remains at Seven.

251 people have recovered from the virus with 32 cases still listed as active.

418 tests for COVID-19 were performed on Monday, May 11, 2020, bringing the total number of tests performed since early February to 31,440.

Testing criteria now includes all symptomatic Manitobans. Anyone showing symptoms still needs to be referred for testing by calling Health Links at 204-788-8200 or 1-888-315-9257.

Effective this week moving forward the daily public health media briefing will move to three times per week on Monday, Wednesday and Friday. News 4 will continue to stream the media briefing live.
