Canada’s world-famous military aerial stunt team the Snowbirds were in Manitoba on Tuesday, May 12, 2020, as part of their “Operation Inspiration” tour of Canada.
The team took off from 17 Wing at the Winnipeg airport just before 9:30 am and made their way across the city to begin a fly-by along Portage Avenue.
All eyes were in the skies as the red and white two-seater jets roared across Winnipeg trailing white smoke.

It was only fitting that the fly-by happened on Manitoba’s birthday which is celebrating 150 years since becoming a province.

The team then travelled along the Trans-Canada Highway making a pass over Portage la Prairie then on to Brandon.
The snowbirds will end their day in Moosejaw, Saskatchewan.
