UPDATED

Winnipeg Police are investigating the tenth homicide of 2020 after a male suffering from a gunshot wound was found Wednesday afternoon, April 15, 2020, near Isabel Street and Ross Avenue.

The 57-year-old victim was taken to hospital in critical condition but died from his injuries. Police have identified the victim as 57-year-old Brian James Brisson from Winnipeg.

Police are asking anyone who may have been in the area around 1:00pm and noticed any suspicious or unusual activity to contact investigators at 204-986-6508.

Businesses and residents in the area who have surveillance cameras are asked to check their video for any activity. Investigators say that details that may seem insignificant at first glance may actually be critical information to the investigation.
