Traffic stop leads RCMP to cache of weapons and stolen property

On Friday April 10, 2020, RCMP made a traffic stop on Highway 7 in the RM of Rockwood on a pickup truck towing a utility trailer.

As the officer was talking to the 32-year-old driver a firearm was seen in the vehicle. Police placed the male under arrest and searched the truck.

Two more firearms were located of which one was a prohibited weapon. The utility trailer the man was towing also turned out to have been stolen in October 2017 from Winnipeg.
