Manitoba’s police watchdog agency is investigating an alleged sexual assault by an off-duty RCMP officer in western Manitoba.
The Independent Investigation Unit (IIU) says they were notified about the alleged incident on December 10, 2019. According to investigators, it occurred in December 2016.
Zane Tessler, the civilian director for the IIU has determined that his agency should investigate in the public interest.
