A change is coming in who the City of Winnipeg uses to pick up your trash. Two new contractors have been selected to begin collecting garbage in Winnipeg next year after a lengthy bidding process.
Miller Waste Systems and GFL Environmental were the successful bidders that will replace Emterra Environmental and Progressive Waste Solutions.
If approved by City council the combined cost to the seven year contracts will be close to $25 Million per year.
Council is expected to vote on the new service providers in October.
