14 of 16 new COVID-19 cases identified Wednesday are in Winnipeg

Manitoba Public Health announced there were 16 new cases of the virus on Wednesday, September 9, 2020. The total number of lab-confirmed cases stands at 1,365.

The five-day test positivity rate in Manitoba is 1.3 per cent

One new cases in the Southern Health region, one new case in the Prairie Mountain health region, 14 cases in the Winnipeg Health region.

Public health says that today’s Winnipeg cases are linked to known contacts not related to any current outbreaks.

There are 12 people being treated in hospital including three people in intensive care.

There are currently 404 active cases of COVID-19 in the province with 945 people listed as recovered.

The number of deaths related to COVID-19 is 16.

653 laboratory tests were completed on Tuesday. According to Manitoba Public Health, the total number of completed tests since early February is 149,188.
