Man killed on Ebb and Flow First Nation by drunk driver

RCMP say that around 6:30 Thursday morning, April 16, 2020, they responded to the report of a collision between a pedestrian and a vehicle in the Ebb and Flow First Nation.

It happened on Lake Road NE about three kilometres east of Provincial Road 278.

When officers arrive on scene they found the body of a 36-year-old male from the community lying on the road who appeared to have been hit by a vehicle. He was declared dead at the scene.

Police say that the vehicle involved in the collision had stopped a short distance away.

The 27-year-old female driver of the vehicle from Ebb and Flow First Nation was arrested and is facing charges of Impaired Driving Causing Death.

Police say she has been detained in custody.

RCMP continue to investigate and are asking anyone who may have witnessed the collision to contact them at 204-447-2513
