Winnipeg Police say that a male in his 50s who was shot on Ellice Avenue Saturday morning, July 25, 2020, has been upgraded to stable condition.
Investigators say that they took several people into custody from a Maryland Street residence shortly after being called to the scene of the shooting. No information regarding any charges or how those taken into custody are related to the shooting incident.

When officers first arrived at the call they were approached by a male who told them he had been robbed a short time earlier. The man left the area before officers were able to get any other information.
