RCMP are investigating a fatal snowmobile collision in Porcupine Provincial Forest that happened on April 7, 2023,
Investigators say that an 80-year-old man was travelling behind another snowmobile when he went off the trail and hit a cluster of trees.
The driver of the lead snowmobile soon realized that the victim was not behind him any longer and he turned around to find him. The victim was found with life-threatening injuries and taken to Provincial Road 365 where police and EMS were waiting. Medical help was provided to the male but he did not survive his injuries.
