Winnipeg Police Service has released the name of the accused in a hit and run incident in front of the Manitoba Legislature on Friday night, February 4, 2022.
Four adult males were struck including one male that was hit and dragged along Broadway. The incident was captured by a dash cam on one of the big rigs involved in the Freedom Convoy protest.
Police captured the suspect about 40 minutes after the incident in the 4800 block of Portage avenue.
42-year-old David Alexander Zegarac of Headingly was charged for his alleged involvement with a number of assault and driving related offences.
He was detained in custody.
