Manitoba extends the State of Emergency for 30 days

For the fourth straight month, the Manitoba government has extended the state emergency due to the Pandemic.

The state of emergency was first declared on March 20, 2020 and under the Emergency Measures Act was valid for a 30 day period. Prior to todays announcement it has been renewed three times in April, May and June.

By extending the state of emergency the government is given special powers to quickly respond to the COVID-19 pandemic provincewide.

The extension takes effect at 4:00 pm July 14, 2020 and will expired on August 13, 2020 unless it is once again extended.
