The cause of a Kay Crescent house fire on Tuesday, June 2, 2020 is under investigation after firefighters battled the blaze for more than an hour.
Winnipeg Fire Paramedic Service responded around 11:05 am to a single-family bungalow.
When crews arrived they encountered heavy smoke coming from the home and immediately launched an offensive attack. As conditions deteriorated firefighters had to pull back and transition to a defensive attack until they improved.
The blaze was declared under control just after noon.
Everyone inside the house were able to get out safely before emergency crews arrived. No injuries were reported.
