Three arrested in Selkirk Avenue murder

Winnipeg Police have arrested three suspects in connection to the murder of 52-year-old Warren Stewart Nabess.

On Friday March 8, 2019 police responded to the report of an injured male in the 200 block of Selkirk Avenue.

When officers arrived they found Nabess suffering from blunt force trauma injuries. He was taken to hospital in critical condition but died shortly afterwards.

Police took a number of people into custody from the home and the immediate area at the time of the incident.

Investigators say that they believe the people inside the home were involved in the drug trade and that Nabess had gone to the residence where he was subsequently beaten to death.

Police have charged 19-year-old Robert Terry Williams-Stove and Eric Justin Sinclair with Second Degree Murder for their alleged involvement. Sinclair was also charged with Fail to Comply with Probation Order (x2) and Breach Recognizance.

A 15-year-old male was also arrested and charged with Accessory After the Fact to Murder and Possession of a Scheduled Substance for the Purpose of Trafficking Cocaine.

All three suspects were detained in custody.
