Winnipeg Transit driver charged in death of pedestrian

A 54-year-old Winnipeg Transit driver is facing two charges under the Highway Traffic Act after he was involved in a collision that killed a pedestrian.

It happened on November 13, 2017 around 2:30 pm at the intersection of Graham Avenue and Fort Street.

The male victim, in his 50s was taken to hospital in critical condition but later died from his injuries.

Police say that the investigation led to charges of Drive Carelessly Cause Death and Proceed Before Safe to Do So.
