Police find extremely dangerous high explosives within Winnipeg

Winnipeg police are are investigating the trafficking of high explosives.

The emulsion explosives are described as flex tubes with metal crimped ends. The tubes are approximately 12 inches long and one inch thick. These explosives are intended for blasting rock in mining operations.

Police say that the on-going investigation has lead them seize a quantity of explosives within city limits.
   
On Friday January 6, 2017 police executed a search warrant at a home on College Avenue in relation to the investigation.

Winnipeg police warn that the explosives are extremely dangerous and advise anyone who may come across these type of explosive to call police immediately. Police advise not to touch or handle the explosive in anyway.
