Three people were sent to hospital after a fire in a Kennedy Street apartment fire early Saturday morning, June 17, 2023.
Firefighters were called tot he scene around 4:40 am and found heavy smoke and flames coming from the building. Four people were rescued from the building using ladders. Three people were transported to the hospital, two in stable condition and one critical.
The fire was declared under control at 5:28 am.
Winnipeg Police Service Major Crimes Unit is investigating the cause of the fire.
