Winnipeg Police have charged a 30-year-old man in connection to an animal cruelty investigation.
According to police, officers responded to the Forks Market after they received reports that a dog was bing assaulted by an adult male.
Witnesses watched as the dog was abused and recognized it from recent social media posts reporting it missing.
Officers arrested the male and charged him for his alleged involvement with Killing or injuring animals, Possession of Property Obtained by Crime Under $5,000
The suspect was detained in custody. The dog was returned its family and did not suffer serious injuries.
