Youth stabbed and killed during Burrows Avenue fight

Winnipeg Police are investigating another homicide in the city, this time a 12-year-old boy was killed as a result of a fight on Burrows Avenue on Friday evening, June 18, 2021.

Police were called to the 200 block for the report of a stabbing. When officers arrived they located a seriously injured male youth laying in the roadway. Officers and an off-duty nurse provided assistance until paramedics arrived. The youth was taken to hospital but died from his injuries.

Investigators say that two groups of people got into a physical altercation. During the fight the youth was stabbed.
