RCMP in Fisher Branch has arrested a youth in connection to a firearm incident at Fisher Branch Collegiate on January 25, 2023.
Police say that during the incident the suspect pointed the firearm at another student.
Officers went to the suspect’s home in the community and placed him under arrest. The suspect was found to be in possession of a loaded firearm, ammunition and bear spray.
The youth is facing a number of charges for his alleged involvement including:
- Pointing a Firearm
- Uttering Threats
- Careless use of a Firearm x2
- Carrying a Concealed Weapon x4
- Possession of a Weapon for a Dangerous Purpose x4
- Unsafe Storage of Firearm x2
- Unauthorized Possession of a Firearm
The suspect remains in custody as police continue to investigate the incident.
