Winnipeg Police Service has laid charges against the youth driver of an ATV that was involved in a collision at St. Mary’s Road and the Floodway.
On August 1, 2020 three male youths were in a four-seat all-terrain vehicle when it rolled over at the south Floodway. One of the youth died from his injuries while the other two were taken to hospital, treated and released.
Members of the WPS Traffic Division investigated and on June 1, 2021 the crown attorney authorized charges against the youth. The driver has been charged with one count of Dangerous Driving of a Conveyance Causing Death.
The youth was released on an Undertaking.
