Manitoba First Nations Police Service have a 16-year-old male in custody after being called to a home on Sandy Bay First Nation on December 27, 2019.
Police say they responded to a domestic disturbance and were told a gun may present in the home.
As officers arrived they saw the youth exiting the residence with what appeared to be a home-made firearm in his hand. Police ordered the teen to drop the weapon and took him into custody.
The teen has been charged for his alleged involvement with Careless Use (Carrying) of a Firearm, Unauthorized Possession of a Firearm, Possession of a Firearm Knowing Unauthorized and Fail to Comply with Probation.
