RCMP in Thompson have arrested a 13-year-old male after he allegedly assaulted a 58-year-old man with an axe.
Police say that they were called to a fight on Churchill Drive in the northern city around 7:30 pm September 11, 2019.
When officers arrived the suspect was being held by a number of bystanders.
The victim was rushed to hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
The youth is facing charges of Assault with a Weapon and Possession of a Weapon for Dangerous Purpose.
