Winnipeg Police Service has released the results for the 2021 Festive Season Checkstop Program.
During the course of the program officers stopped 2,471 vehicles in high visibility check stops.
368 roadside breath tests were performed which resulted in 49 drivers having immediate roadside driving prohibitions. 77 drivers were charged with impaired driving and 28 drivers were charged with Criminal Impaired Driving related offences.
Police issued 191 traffic offence tickets during the program.
