RCMP have arrested a 30-year-old Winnipeg woman and charged her with aggravated assault after she stabbed a man Tuesday night.
It happened just after 10:00 pm March 20, 2018, on Main Street in Landmark, about 40 kilometres west of Winnipeg.
Police say the intoxicated woman had asked the 46-year-old victim for a ride from Winnipeg to Landmark. The victim agreed as he was heading in that direction anyway. When they got to Landmark the female stabbed the victim in the upper body. As the man struggled with the woman he was stabbed several more times.
The suspect was eventually removed from the vehicle.
Emergency crews took the victim to hospital where he was treated for serious but non-life-threatening injuries. The suspect was not injured.
She remains in custody.
