A 25-year-old woman is recovering in stable condition after being stabbed multiple times early this morning in the 600 block of Alexander Avenue, according to the Winnipeg Police Service.
Officers responded to a report of a fight in progress at a residence at approximately 3:35 a.m. Upon arrival, they discovered the victim suffering from several injuries sustained from a stabbing.
Police immediately provided emergency medical aid to the injured woman, including the application of multiple chest seals. She was transported to a hospital in unstable condition but has since been upgraded to stable.
The suspect or suspects involved in the stabbing had fled the scene before police arrived.
While investigating the incident, officers arrested a 42-year-old female and a 30-year-old male. However, these arrests were made on the strength of outstanding warrants and are not related to the stabbing incident itself.
