A 22-year-old Winnipeg female is in custody after she allegedly hit and elderly female in the face with a brick.
The attack happened near Main Street and Dufferin Avenue around 10:30 am on Sunday, September 5, 2021.
According to police the suspect and victim did not know each other. When officers arrived on the scene they found the female in her 70s bleeding. She was taken to hospital in stable condition. Witnesses to the incident directed police to the suspect.
Police took the intoxicated suspect into custody.
Nolene Anna Patchinose has been charged for her alleged involvement with Assault with a Weapon.
