A 70-year-old woman was found dead after emergency crews responded to a fire in an apartment suite in Souris, Manitoba.

RCMP responded to the blaze around 7:40 pm and learned of the death. The fire was contained to the suite of origin.

Police along with the Office of the Fire Commissioner continue to investigate.
