At approximately 5:35 p.m. on December 2, 2024, officers from the Central District, assisted by the K9 Unit, responded to a reported stabbing at an apartment.
Upon arrival, officers found a woman in her 20s suffering from serious injuries. They promptly administered emergency medical care, and she was transported to the hospital in critical condition. Despite the efforts of medical professionals, she later succumbed to her injuries.
Inside the suite, a second woman in her 20s was apprehended and subsequently charged with Robbery and Second Degree Murder. She remains in custody as the investigation continues.
The Homicide Unit is currently in the process of notifying next of kin, and as a result, the names of both the deceased and the accused have not yet been released.
