RCMP have charged the 25-year-old female who was arrested in connection to the death of a 30-year-old male in Thompson on March 30, 2022.

Police had responded to a disturbance at a home on Princeton Drive and found the victim suffering from life-threatening injuries. The male was taken to hospital but died shortly afterwards.

RCMP said at the time that his death was being investigated as a homicide and that a female from Split Lake had been arrested and taken into custody.

Shelly Linda Saunders was charged on April 1, for her alleged involvement with Second Degree Murder. She remains in custody and will appear in a Thompson court room on April 8, 2022.

RCMP continue to investigate.
