Woman charged after three people stabbed in Osborne Village

A 24-year-old woman has been arrested and charged after police say she attacked and stabbed three people at a business in the 100 block of Osborne Street on Sunday, November 12, 2023.

Around 1:00 pm officers from the Winnipeg Police Service responded to reports of a 57-year-old female, a 30-year-old female and a 75-year-old male had been stabbed.

According to police the suspect got into an altercation with security staff after she was observed acting in a suspicious manner. As the woman fled the store she pulled out a knife and stabbed the victims causing various injuries.

The victims were taken to hospital and treated. All three are in stable condition.

Officers began searching the area and within 30 minutes located the suspect on the banks of the Assiniboine River near Roslyn Road. She has been charged for her alleged involvement with Aggravated Assault, two counts of Assault Cause Bodily Harm and Assault.

She was detained in custody.

Police continue to investigate.
