Winnipeg Police have arrested and charged a 47-year-old female after she allegedly assaulted a woman on William Avenue just outside Health Sciences Centre.

The victim had just finished work around 12:45 pm when she was assaulted by the suspect. According to police the intoxicated suspect was loitering in the area and hit the victim in the face causing injuries. The victim did not require medical attention..

The victim fled after being hit and got help form a security guard who was nearby.

Police located the suspect and placed her into custody. She has been charged with Assault and utter threats. The suspect was then released on an Appearance Notice.
