Wolseley man died from assault in Craig Street home

UPDATED

A 44-year-old male has died as a result of an assault on Craig Street in Wolseley late Thursday afternoon, January 28, 2021.

Winnipeg police were called to the home around 1:26 pm and found the seriously injured victim inside. Officers performed CPR while waiting on paramedics. The male was taken to the hospital in critical condition but died shortly afterwards.

The victim has been identified as Wendell John Boulanger from Winnipeg.

Homicide investigators have identified a 27-year-old suspect in connection to the homicide. Issa Musa is wanted on a Canada-wide warrant for Second Degree Murder.

Musa is described as Black, 5’’10″” tall, about 162 lbs, and has a medium build. He has brown eyes and black hair. He is known to have tattoos on both forearms.

Police warn that Musa is not to be approached. Anyone with information about his whereabouts is asked to call 911.
