As predicted a Colorado Low is playing havoc with road conditions across Southern Manitoba late Sunday Night March 4, 2018.
Manitoba Highways has closed Highway 3 south of Carmen, Highway 13 south of Highway 2, Highway 23 west of Morris, Highway 34 south of Highway 2, Highway 31 to the border. Also closed is Highway 16 west of Highway 10.
Most roads in Southern Manitoba are snow covered and slippery. Caution is advised when travelling outside the city.
Conditions are expected to worsen overnight and throughout the day on Monday.
Schools in many rural areas across the province are expected to have a “snow day” as accumulations increase and driving conditions continue to be hazardous.
Late Sunday night Turtle Mountain School Division announced that all schools in the division will be closed Monday due to the storm and other rural schools divisions are expected to follow suit.
