MTS Centre is no more! Ok well the arena is still there but after 13 years it is getting a new name.
Effective today the Winnipeg arena will be know as Bell MTS Place to reflect the purchase of MTS by Bell earlier this year.
The Iceplex in the west end of the city will also undergo a name change. It will now be known as the Bell MTS Iceplex.
True North says that it will take a few months for the news signage to be in place but that it will be ready by September 1st.
