One lucky winner who purchased their ticket in Winnipeg has made history by winning the largest-ever lottery prize in Manitoba. Prior to this win the record for the biggest win in the city was $27.2 million won on LOTTO 6/49 in 2005 and provincially was a LOTTO Max win in 2009 worth $50 million.
The lucky winner has one year to claim their prize. Western Canada Lottery Corporation says that beginning Monday the ticket holder can them to verify their ticket by calling 1-800-665-3313.
